Louise Dickinson Rich’s Book “The Peninsula” captures the essence of Acadia’s Schoodic Peninsula and our community. She wrote this book while visiting the Peninsula and chose to move to our Sand Cove property in the late 1950’s, where she wrote fourteen further books many of them New York Times best sellers. The Introduction to her book describes our locale perfectly; it is a place that has not changed in its essence since she penned this magnificent work.
